expressions. *
Sentence: A sentence should start with a Capital letter
and end with a punctuation mark. In the English Language, short sentences can be made into larger (compound) sentences
using linking words (conjunctions). Examples of conjunctions in the English Language are: when, because, and, so that, which,
as, but, whenever, after, although.
Paragraph: A paragraph should start with a Capital letter and
be at least one sentence. It should usually be about one subject area and start on a new line.
Clause: In the English language, a clause can be of two main types:
main (independent) or subordinate (dependent). A subordinate clause in the English Language is one where it requires a main
clause and it is an additional piece of information. A clause has a subject and finite form of a verb.
Phrase: A phrase, in the English Language, is a group of words
which is part of a sentence.
Expression: We find that the English Language is rich with different
and commonly use expressions.
